Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the Replacement Crossbar for Exposed Racks Roof Rack

Today, we're going to take a look at this Exposed Racks Red Universal 48 and a half inch long Multi Function Square Crossbar for the Jeep JL and JLU Wranglers. Now, this universal crossbar can be used to add an Exposed Racks crossbar system to your Jeep or to upgrade an existing Exposed Racks system. It is designed to work with the Jeep JL Wrangler, which is the two door, or the Jeep JLU, which is the Wrangler Unlimited four door version, and it will also work with either soft top or hard top models.This is a nice heavy duty carbon steel construction. Now, all the crossbars are machined, they're cleaned, and then they're electroplated inside and out as a protective barrier against the elements.

And then, they're powder coated. This one you can see has a nice red finish to it. It is also available in a textured black finish. Just want to zoom in to show you the red finish on it.And if you'll notice the square holes in the bar, this is the laser cut square cutouts that the click-in design uses. It'll accept the Exposed Racks push pin accessories, like kayak mounts, universal mounting plates, and other accessories they offer.

Basically, the accessory will have a shank on it, that'll drop or push down through the square hole right here. And then when it gets through, the pin will pop out and holds it into place. And then to remove it, you just push in on that push pin and slide it right out. Makes it very quick and easy to move the accessory from one hole to another.Now, this will also allow the use of other manufacturer's rooftop accessories on your Jeep, and this even can be used to install a rooftop tent on your Jeep. Now, if this is used on a soft top Wrangler, the soft top will close over the crossbars without any interference, and there's no drilling needed for installation.

You can see some of the mounting holes right down here. Now, the mounting hardware for the soft top or the hard top, we do sell separately on our website.This part is made in the USA. And the last thing we'll do is just give you the dimensions on this. Overall length from this end to this end, with the tape measure on it, it's right at 48 and a half inches long. And it is a square bar so the height and the width of it will be one and a quarter inches.
