Today, we're going to take a look at the B&W Custom Mounting Brackets for Patriot 5th Wheel Above Bed Base Rails. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2002 to 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 vehicles. Now on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend you go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year, model vehicle, and it will show you if this will work for your application. Now these custom brackets are designed to work with the B&W Universal Above Bed Base Rails, to let you install your 5th wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. Now if you do not have those rails already, we do sell the rails separately. It's part number BWRVR3210, and they are listed on our website.
Now we also do sell this part, the mounting brackets with the rails, all as one part. That would be part number BWRVK2500. We also sell those on our website. This part here is just the installation brackets. These will mount beneath your truck bed. They do provide the attachment points for your 5th wheel rails.
The base rails do sit in your truck bed. They allow the installation of the 5th wheel trailer hitch. These custom fit brackets will mount to usually existing holes that are on your vehicle's frame, so there's no drilling required. Because of that, it will drastically reduce the installation time, as opposed to like a universal bracket. Also, if you notice the way these are designed, they do have cutouts to avoid some known obstacles that would be along the trucks frame, so that even helps speed the process up.
All of these parts are a sturdy, powder-coated steel to help resist corrosion. They have a nice, grey, powder-coated finish over them. All the hardware is included, right here. It comes with a nice set of detailed instructions that will describe how to install it. All these parts are made in the U.S.A. No-drill frame brackets offer a simple installation. Hardware included.Good quality product. Installation was not exactly custom fit. Bracket on passenger side touched exhaust pipe and caused rattling. Had to modifying slightly to fix.
Other than that Installation was about 6hrs. The build quality is great.
I bought a no drill installation kit for my B&W Patriot 5th wheel. I received it in 3 days and installed it the day it showed up. I had one question during the install, called tech. support and they answered it and I finished the job. Nice product, very knowledgeable sales who set me up with the correct kit and great tech. support. Thank you, I’ll be using your company again.
Custom brackets and hardware came in on time and were top quality, Installed on my Ram 2500 without too much difficulty! Very pleased with etrailer. Fifth wheel hitch now installed and ready.
