How Do I Choose the Correct ATV/UTV CV Axle?

GSP offers 4 types of CV axles based on your vehicle and riding habits. The OE+ model is an affordable OEM replacement with neoprene boots. The Heavy Duty (HD) axle has a stronger shaft and TPEE boots that are better than OEM axles. The Xtreem Duty (XD) is 30% stronger than OEM axles and includes a thicker shaft for riding hard and racing. The XD is often used on lifted vehicles. The Xtended axle is a specialty product for those with long travel suspensions. It includes the same quality features of the HD axle but is longer to accomodate different builds.

Video Transcript for Review of GSP ATV-UTV Axles - Custom Fit Heavy Duty Rear CV Axle Assembly - GSP33FR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GSP custom fit heavy duty rear CV axle assembly. Now this is going to let you upgrade your vehicle's rear left or rear right OEM setup, depending on your particular vehicle. And this is designed to fit your 2017 to 2020 Can-Am Maverick X3 DS or your 2018 to 2022 Can-Am Maverick X3 MR or RC. On custom fit parts such as this axle, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com.

Just pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Another way to determine if this is going to work for you is by the axle assembly length, and so the extended length is gonna be 30.28 inches. The compressed length is gonna be 29.25 inches. And the inboard joint type is ball and the spline count is 30, and the outboard joint type is also ball with a spline count of 29. Now this is also a direct replacement for all of the models and numbers there that you see there on your screen.

Now this information can also be found on this product page. And the hardened steel alloy shaft is built to resist wear. The oversized CV joints are going to let you climb rough terrain and crawl over obstacles. The flexible yet tough TPEE boots are gonna resist tearing and cracking, and this is going to arrive exactly as you see it here, preassembled for simple installation. This has already been packed with high performance moly grease to reduce friction, and an axle nut is also included.

Now, additional specs are listed on this product page. Maybe there's a bit of information that you're looking for that I did not cover with you today. Take a close look at this product page and take a look at the additional pieces of information there and maybe that'll be covered there for you. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.

Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

CV Joint for Kawasaki Teryx.

I like
the CV joint. It is better than the original. My order was easy due to skilled staff. Plus the shipping was on time. The price was also very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend. I will be back, thank you Gynger, job well done!.

The product was what I ordered. Thanks.
However,
I was disappointed that it took longer to get it than I originally thought it would when I placed my order. That said, I was able to communicate my concerns and the order was delivered. This noted, I will likely order again when I need another part.

I’m not sure how useful an evaluation is at this point because these new heavy duty axles should last through years of use and they were only installed today. They look good now but time will tell. Installation was pretty much like the you tube videos showed although removal of the old axles and pushing in the new ones was physically more difficult than I expected and beyond what the tutorials showed.
