Keel Roller and Wobble Roller Capacities to Consider when Setting Up a Boat Trailer
Published 09/24/2014 >
Question:
That was good info about the weight rating of the rollers. So if I have the proper rollers for my boat, how do I distribute the weight on the rollers? Do I let most of the weight on the outside rollers or on the keel rollers or should they contact all of the rollers at the same time? Thanks!

I spoke to my contact at Yates and he said that you will need to keep in mind the capacities of the keel rollers and wobble rollers and install them accordingly. Keel rollers are rated at 400 lbs and wobble rollers are 200 lbs. So you will need to take the weight of your boat and the capacities of the rollers you plan on using and be sure to use enough.
Some recommend a little more weight on the outside wobble rollers or bunk boards than on the keel rollers to protect the bottom of the hull.
The answer to your second question is no. You will need a longer shaft to add an end cap to your roller.
