Will the Firestone Air Bags get in the Way of Tire Chains on My 2025 Toyota Tundra?

Updated 01/22/2025 | Published 01/21/2025

Question:

On a 25 Tundra, do these sit on the outside of the coil springs right next to the tires? If so, is there enough clearance to run tire chains?

Hello Dan,

Congrats on the new 2025 Toyota Tundra! The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F89VV will be a great fit, and they will not get in the way of tire chains. They do install right behind the wheel but there will still be plenty of clearance for the chains.

If you were looking to pair the bags with an air compressor, take a look at the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25980EZ. This compressor is bluetooth compatible and comes with a remote so you don't even have to leave the cap of your truck to air them up. I attached a review video so you can get a good feel for the product as well.

So are you getting the air bags for hauling something fun like a camper or a boat, or is this more for work purposes?
