Is the recommended bag for the Thule canyon xt roof basket waterproof.?

The Thule Interstate roof bag part # TH869 that can be used with the Thule Canyon XT cargo basket part # TH859XT is considered weather resistant. What this means is that it's going to keep the contents of the bag dry when it's raining but if you were to submerge the bag in water (not likely to happen when on your roof...) it would let water in. To be cautious we do recommend putting items that have to be kept dry in plastic bags as an insurance policy.
