Will The Furrion Vision S Rv Camera System Work With A 2018 GMC Sierra 2500

Updated 03/17/2025 | Published 10/03/2023

Question:

I have a 2018 GMC 2500HD Denali which is set up to tow a Fifth Wheel and was wondering if the following will fit my truck. Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision - Rear Mount - 5 Screen Item # FOS05TASF. I am towing a 2021 Forest River Sierra 3440BH. Thanks - Paul

The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF is designed to be installed on the trailer so it would definitely be a great option for your 2021 Forest River Sierra 3440BH. Since your truck is only a 2018 you shouldn't have the same power issues with the camera system that newer models do, but if any issues do arise you'd just need the PWM Filter # VGR64VR to ensure that the camera is getting a constant 12 volts.

I've attached a short video below where I'll walk you through the installation process on the trailer, as well as the PWM filter installation.

If you're wanting a camera for the truck to make connecting to it easier then you'll want a third brake light camera. I've attached a link to the compatible options below so you can get a better idea of what you'd like/what will work with your truck. If you can provide a bit more info on the in-dash monitor/stereo I can see which option would be compatible or if you just want to have a separate monitor then you could go with part # 3460013.

@Dave I wish we could help with that but we do not have any adapters that allow the Vision S cameras to display on your OEM GM dash display. Hopefully someone figures that out though as it gets requested a lot.
