Replacement Tires for Horse Trailer With Carlisle ST215/75D14 Tires
Published 08/04/2023 >
Question:
My boat trailer currently has Carlisle tires that say ST215/75D14 on them and also say Replaces G78-14ST. What tire would be the new equivalent replacement for these tires?

Expert Reply:
215/75-14 is a modern tire size so the same size will work as a replacement on your boat trailer. However, I do recommend upgrading to a radial tire over bias with the Karrier ST215/75R14 # AM10229. Radial tires will have better highway performance and last longer in general. This tire has a maximum load of 1,870 lbs at 50 psi and a speed rating of M for 81 mph. It also comes with a 5-year warranty and 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
