Troubleshooting Lack Of Power For A Pace Edwards Bedlocker Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I have a 2012 Ford F150 and have a Pace Edward remote control tonneau cover and it doesn’t open or close. I changed the batteries in both remotes. Not sure if it’s a fuse nor do I know wat fuse to look for, or is it in my fuse box? What should I do?

If your Pace Edwards Bedlocker Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-M-BLFA18A44 isn't operating even after replacing the batteries in the key fob then it most likely is a damaged wire or blown fuse. On the driver's side of the canister you should have a wire harness that runs out and comes up in the engine compartment and runs directly to the battery with an in-line fuse holder. I recommend tracing the wire to ensure there isn't any damage or corrosion since it was most likely ran under the truck and would be exposed to the elements and could be damaged by debris on the road. You can test the fuse with a circuit tester # PTW2993 and replace if necessary.
In the attached video below you can see Dave installing the wire harness on the battery and can see the fuse holder. I've also attached a picture of it so you know what to look for.

Do you still the Pace Edwards BedLocker power cable with the fuse? I have the bedlocker however, the power cable connector was sheared off while transporting a large broken glass table that cut the power cable close to the connectors.
