Question:
I have a 2022 Mercedes gls 450 and a 24ft aluminum trailer about 2900lbs. A race car at 2800lbs… do they make a weight distribution hitch for the Mercedes, is it needed?

I looked up the towing capacity for your 2022 Mercedes GLS 450 and it looks like it can tow up to 7,700 lb which is higher than what your trailer weighs so you have the capacity for it but I wasn't able to find anything on whether a weight distribution system could be used. I looked at the factory hitch design and it doesn't look like one that is normally not WD rated. But beside that point is fact that aluminum trailers typically are not rated for use with WD systems so I can't safely recommend a system for you. Typically we recommend checking with the manufacturer of the aluminum trailer but in nearly all cases they will say you can't use WD with them.
