How To Install Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller On 2010 GMC Sierra

Question:

Trying to install hopkins agility on my 2010 gmc sierra got it all hooked up I think wire colors are a bit off possibly faded but is there only a display when a trailer is hooked up cause I get nothing by pressing buttons and cant test the trailer till I pick it up and I dont want to find then it doesnt work or there is a problem

In order to install the Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller part # HM47295 on a 2010 GMC Sierra you will need to make the following connections:

Brake Controller - Vehicle Wiring

Red - Light Blue (Stop Light Switch)
Black - Red/Black (Power)
White - White (Ground
Blue - Dark Blue (Brake Output)
N/A - Orange (Not Used)

The wires with these function on the vehicle are located under the driver side dash on the firewall, left side of the steering column. I have actually attached for you below an entire help article walking you through the process.

It sounds like you got the power and ground correct but you may have mixed up the stop light switch and brake output wires.
