Recommended 2" Bolt on Coupler for a Folding Tongue Trailer
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Can this coupler be used with a fold away tongue and is there a way to lengthen this coupler? My trailer has a bulldog type coupler now but it is quite a bit longer than this coupler... thanks

The Titan Zinc-Plated Coupler item # T4845000 will work with a fold away tongue so long as it has a 3" channel. There isn't a way to increase the length. This coupler has a 500 lbs capacity and fits a 2" ball. These couplers are quite a bit smaller but all close to the same size.
For a larger coupler you will have to go up in capacity. I recommend the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler item # DM15000-52. The Demco has an EZ-Latch that makes hooking up your trailer extremely easy. This coupler is also a bolt on that fits a 3" channel with a 2" ball. This coupler is 14" long.
