Can I Use The Optronics Drop In Cup Holder For A Custom Cup Holder I'm Building

Question:

Im looking at the Optronics In Cup Holder with Handle Rest - 2 Tier - 2-1/2 Tall x 3-5/8 Diameter Item # 09017101B. It states it s into your existing cupholder. I am attempting to build a map holder with a cup holder on top for the side wall of both driver and passenger side. I am wondering if this cup holder can be put into a hole that doesnt already have a cup holder?

If the hole is the correct diameter, I do not see why the Optronics Drop In Cup Holder with Handle Rest - 2 Tier - 2-1/2" Tall x 3-5/8" Diameter, part # 09017101B, would have a problem fitting in that hole. It does come with 3 screw holes on the bottom, so you will be able to secure it as well.
