Question:
I have a Fulton xlt electric boat winch 500621. my boat weighs 7500 lb. the strap lasted 3 years with moderate use I would like to replace it with a stronger strap possibly . The Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook, 2inch Wide x 15foot Long - 4,000 lbs. will this strap fit this winch ? Item # DL24239 or one that will hold up better than the on supplied with the winch. what do you recommend . thanks tom

My contact at Fulton tells me that they don't offer a replacement strap for the discontinued Fulton 500621 electric winch, but I found that the winch uses a 2 inch wide strap and fastens to the winch spool using a bolt that passes through a loop that has been sewn into the end of the strap. The 4000 lb capacity 15' x 2" Dutton-Lainson # DL24239 replacement strap would install in the same manner, so it'll work just fine for your Fulton 500621 electric winch. This is the longest strap that's recommended for use with your winch.
The # DL24291 strap you'd looked at would work as well, but it's 12 feet in length, and you were wanting something longer.
