Recommended Bike Rack for 55 lb Gazelle C380 e-Bike

Question:

Hello, I’m looking for a recommendation on a bike rack. I have a SUV with a trailer hitch, and need a rack for a Gazelle C380 ebike. The bike weighs about 60lbs. Ideally, the rack will accommodate two bikes. Thanks!

I'd recommend going with a Swagman Current E-Bike Carrier, part # S64678.

The Current can carry two bikes weighing up to 60 lbs apiece which will handle the 54.6 lb weight of your Gazelle C380 with no problem. The rack can accommodate bikes with tires up to 5 inches wide, and can tilt rearward with the bikes in place to allow easier access to the vehicle's cargo area. The rack can also fold up against the rear of the vehicle when the bikes aren't installed, which lessens the chance of somebody tripping over it. To accommodate the step through frame of your bike, you'd need a brake frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The rack also includes locks to secure the rack to the vehicle and the bikes to the rack.
