Question:

I had a question regarding the weight limits on a roof rack system that would use the Yakima Timberline Towers and HD Cross Bars. I believe the dynamic weight capacity of these are 220 lbs for the towers and 500 lbs for the HD cross bars. Can you confirm the static weight limits for each? I will be running them on a 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness rails that have 220 lbs dynamic and 700 lbs static.

The maximum static weight capacity for the Yakima HD Crossbars # Y01156 along with the Timberline Towers # Y33TR on your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon is rated at 500 pounds. This weight limit is the maximum weight limit for each of the components. To have a complete crossbar system, you will also need the HD Bar SL Adapter for Yakima BaseLine, SkyLine, TimberLine, and RidgeLine # Y03541. You also have the option to add Yakima Same-Key Lock cores # Y07204 to deter the theft of your crossbars.
