Converting 7-Way Round Connector on Ford F-750 to 7-Way Blade Style Connector on a Trailer
Question:
On this new Ford F750 it has the large seven pin round trailer connection and my new trailer has the seven pin flatflat connection. The trailer seems to use the the four common wires , the truck has seperate brake light circuts L and R , were I cant tie the two circut together because I get feed back thru the rest of the lights . It seem to be a Ford issue any help would be great thanks.

To convert your 7-way round connector to the 7-way blade style connector on your trailer we have a Trailer Connector Adapter part # HM47425.
To use this adapter you should not have to splice together your separate brake light circuits on your Ford F-750. The power output at your 7-way trailer connector on your truck should already be wired as the diagram I have provided. I recommend using a circuit tester to test the pins of the 7-way trailer connector on your Ford truck. If your pin functions match up to the pin functions listed in the diagram I provided then this adapter will work for you.
If the pin functions are different than what the diagram shows, then let me know what the functions are and we can find another solution.
