J-Style Kayak Carrier for Transporting Pelican Catch 130 Hydryve and Hobie
Question:
I am looking fo j style racks to transport two fishing kayaks safely. First is a pelican catch 130 hydryve kayak. This kayak is 15” tall and 34” wide. It’s listed at 78 lbs. the second kayak is a Hobie compass. This kayak is 12.5 “ tall and 34” inches wide. It’s listed at 68 lbs. I’m hoping to transport both kayak on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata equipped with Yakima Whispbar S7 roof rack. Let me know if these racks would work or if you have another suggestion.

Since your kayaks are on the heavier side you'd need a carrier with a higher weight capacity like the Rhino Rack # S510 which has a 99 lb weight capacity. This would attach to the Whispbar roof rack you have as well.
