Can 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of Trailer 7-Way Charge Lithium Battery
Updated 06/17/2021 | Published 06/15/2021 >
Question:
Ok this may be a pretty basic question but I thought my +12 volt DC connection from my 7 pin plug was already charging my house battery? My truck battery is AGM my trailer house battery is lithium does that make this a non starter.

Lithium batteries charge a higher voltage than standard batteries. They require 14.6 volts to charge whereas other batteries will charge at a lower voltage. So the 12 volt accessory pin of your 7-way is not providing your RV lithium battery with a significant charge which is why you'd want the Redarc # RED96FR which has a lithium battery profile you can set it on.
