Question:
My restoration shop used a 7mm Heater Hose for the transfer of hot pressurized engine oil from the engine bock adapter to the dual filter housing, and also did not use hose clamps on the barbed fittings to the filter housing. The packaging bag for a 7mm Heater Hose does not indicate that Heater Hose is suitable for or compatible with hot pressurized engine oil transfer. Remote oil filter system manufacturers offer oil transfer hose with their remote filter kits, which is hot pressurized engine oil-compatible and identified as oil-compatible PTFE or other oil-compatible material. Is it safe and proper to use Heater Hose in automotive Remote Oil Filter Systems, with or without hose clamps. Regards

Oil pressure can vary as you can see on the gauge of your dashboard when the engine is running. With our oil filter relocation kits like the part # D15707 that you referenced we recommend high temp hose like the part # D15799 and hose clamps like the part # D13008 and there isn't any issue with the lines or pressures. I would not run this type of hose without hose clamps though as that's most likely going to create a huge mess and potentially damage the engine.
