Question:

Hi! I own both a kayak and a paddleboard not inflatable ones. I only have a Kia Forte Ex+ 2020. Can I manage to carry both on my roof and what should I use to do so? If it is better to carry them one at the time, is there a rack that would safely carry the both of them? Thanks a lot in advance!

I have a watersport carrier for you.

First, though, in order to mount any carrier to the roof of your 2020 Kia Forte, you will need a roof rack. I recommend the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars, part # TH711400. They are 53"-long aero-style crossbars, making them compatible with most accessories. To mount them to your roof, you will need the Evo Clamp Feet, part # TH710501, and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet, part # TH145162.

For the carrier, you won't have enough room to carry both a paddleboard and a kayak at the same time. However, we do have a carrier that can support 1 kayak or 1 paddleboard depending on how it's positioned. It's the Curt J-Style Kayak Carrier, part # C18320. When in the J-style, it can carry a kayak. When laid down, it can carry a paddleboard. I've linked to a video review of this carrier below.

This carrier doesn't come with all straps that may be necessary in your state, so it's best to get the etrailer Kayak Tie-Down Kit, part # e36ZR, to stay compliant. I've linked to a video review of this as well.
