Question:
2017 3500 express van 12 passenger. Has a small button with a trailer picture on it . So what kind of wiring would I need? Plus receiver. Class 4 ?

The towing button you have on your 2017 Chevy Express Van is for changing shift points but does not really affect the choice in trailer wiring or hitch. For a hitch the Draw Tite part # DT45507 is a Class IV that would work really well.
If you are without trailer wiring the Tekonsha part # 118392 is a really great and easy to install option as well.
