Where Do Fifth Wheel Rails Install in Bed of 2015 Ford F-150 5.5' Bed
Question:
I need to find out how to get the measurements on where to mount a 5 th wheel hitch in the back of my 2015 F150 with 5 1/2 ft bed

In general when installing a set of fifth wheel rails the rails will need to be located in the bed of the truck so that the center of the fifth wheel hitch head is centered above the rear axle. But for your 2015 Ford F-150 5-1/2 ft bed we have the Reese custom fit kit part # RP50087-58 which when installed will be 1 inch in front of the axle center. You'd need to have the rear edge of the rear rail 28-3/4 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed and then once placed you'd use a hitch to locate the front rail which will be right at 22 inches forward. But if you use a hitch you'll know that it will be placed exactly where it would fit in and out of the easiest.
