Best Low Profile Crossbar for 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk With Roof Side Rails
Question:
Hi, Im going to be putting a rooftop tent on my 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with factory raised side rails. I still want to be able to pull in my garage and it is going to be really close. Every 1/4 inch counts! What is the absolutely lowest profile crossbar system which will work. Itll need to be rated for 165 pounds static load minimum. Thanks!!

After looking through our fits for the 2017 Cherokee with roof rails, I found that the Yakima RailBar Crossbars, part # Y00432-0433 will sit about 1 inch taller than the top of the roof side rails, as shown in the provided photo. Everything else would be a bit taller. This rack has a 165 lb dynamic capacity, and a 350 lb static capacity, such as when a tent is used.
I've linked to a product demonstration video showing what the RailBar crossbars look like when installed.
