Will the Thule RideAlong work with Cables on the Down Tube

Can the Thule bracket fro ridealong lite be fitted to a down tube with a cable running down the rear?

The Thule RideAlong Lite Child Bike Seat part # Th100110 is designed to clamp on to on the down tube as you already know. To determine if it will work with a cable the position is important. The clamp grabs most of the way around the seat post especially in the front and rear. If it were down either side I would say no problem but straight down the back may pose issue.
The inside of the clamp is a softer rubber compound meant to get a good hold of the tube meaning it would mold around the cable. With that said it would come down to if the cable would move freely after installation. If it did not you could modify the clamp slightly be removing a little of the rubberized material only in the exact area the cable was in contact with to alleviate this.
