Question:
What’s the difference in the SU1845 and the SU4845? Will the SU4845 fit my 1999 Ford F-250 superduty 7.3l diesel? And can I still wipe this old flashpaq superchip tune that is stuck on my truck with the SU4845 also?

Expert Reply:
The difference between the Superchips Flashpaq F5 part # SU1845 and part # SU4845 is the SU4845 tuner is California Approved. Both tuners will work with the 1999 Ford F-250 Superduty 7.3L Diesel V8. Since the emission laws in California are stricter, the tunes on the 4845 are less but that is necessary to stay legal.
If you do not live in California, I recommend to upgrade to the # SU1845 because it provides 50% more horsepower and torque boost power compared to the # SU1845 that you have now. You can wipe the old tune from your truck with the new tuner but you will need to give Superchips a call so they can walk you through how its done.
