Question:

Is there a big difference vs. the draw tite and curt trailer hitches for my 2020 vw jetta? I'm trying to decide between the two and appreciate any help you can offer.

There is one pretty big difference between the two trailer hitches that fit your 2020 Volkswagen Jetta, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24978 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11540. That difference is in how each of the hitches fit your Jetta.

The Draw-Tite has a concealed crosstube so that only the receiver portion shows, while the Curt has a visible crosstube which means the "body" of the hitch shows (as you can see in the accompanying photos).

This is important not only for the aesthetics of your Jetta, but also ground clearance. With the tube of the Curt hitch being exposed, there is more opportunity for it to potentially scrape the ground. So based on that and how the hitches look, if it were my 2020 Jetta I'd definitely put on the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24978.
