Can a 2057 Bulb Be Replaced with an 1157 Bulb In a Bargman Trailer Tail Light

Question:

Can an 1157 dual filament tail light bulb be substituted for a 2057 bulb? Since both are dual filament bulbs, what is the difference? This is for a Bargman double tail light on my Wells Cargo trailer which currently uses 2057 bulbs.

I do have the 2057 bulb you need but I cannot recommend you replace this with an 1157 bulb. The difference between them is power consumption which is why you will want to stick with a 2057 bulb, the Replacement Incandescent Bulb for Bargman Tail Lights part # 30-84-057.
