Furrion Vision S 7” Observation Camera Install on a 2018 Reflection 29RS Prewired to Thermostat
Published 06/24/2019 >
Question:
Thank you so much for your reply! I did receive an email from grand design specific to our rig (by VIN) and they did say that although they cannot determine which power source it was wired to, it is either the AC thermostat or the rear living area light. They did not wire them to the marker lights for some reason totally unknown to me, because I would think that would be the most logical path! So it does create an always on situation and it does mean that my husband will have to redo the wiring to go to the rear marker light. That makes much more sense in my opinion.

That's pretty odd that your observation pre-wiring was ran to the thermostat of your rig. I'd be inclined to believe that is a mistake. Especially since you said the marker light circuit is pretty close to that area. You should run the circuit to the marker light instead. This will allow you to turn the system on and off by just turning the running lights of the tow vehicle on and off. This is the standard method for installing camera kits like the Furrion # FOS05TASF you mentioned which has a 5 inch monitor.
