Wire Colors Used When Installing Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock in 2018 Nissan Frontier

Question:

The instructions that came with the pop N lock only talk about up to a 2013 Frontier. Are the color of the wires that it connects to the same on a 2018 Frontier? There are many wires in the assembly by the kick panel.

The wiring instructions in the Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock part # PAL8450 that you referenced are incorrect for your 2018 Nissan Frontier. The wire colors needed are purple and grey.

I believe the wire colors for your 2019 Nissan Frontier will be the same purple and grey ones mentioned above for the 18 model Frontier. I do still recommend testing them first to be sure.

In regards to the 2019-2020 Nissan Frontier. Are the colors for the B Pilar door lock wires different on the drivers side than the passenger side? Your previous post said grey and purple but I’m not finding those colors. I have white, light blue and a light red color. Thanks

@ChrisC It is very possible that the wire colors are different on the different sides of the vehicle. It actually would make the most sense that they would be different so that the different sides wouldn't get confused when wiring up the vehicle.
