Question:
Hello. I have an 18 foot 2016 Suntracker Bass Buggy pontoon boat. What would be the correct swivel jack for this trailer? Also, do they make stainless steel swivel Jacks that will not rust? My boat is primarily in salt water, and although I am thorough on washing the boat and trailer after use, the current swivel jack I have rusted badly in just 2 years time. I see swivel Jacks that are zinc coated, but read that the coating can wear away and they can rust. I would be willing to pay a little more for a stainless steel swivel jack to avoid future rust problems, but cannot find any online. Thank you.

For your 2016 Sun Tracker Bass Buggy I recommend the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack - Bolt On - Sidewind - 12" Lift - 1,500 lbs # FXP15L which is zinc plated as you mentioned but there are definitely different qualities within that major category. This will be a really nice option. For corrosion to take place the jack would need to be damaged to penetrate the zinc coating which can happen but it sounds like what you had on your trailer was a cheap option from the trailer company.
If you want the more upgraded version to get away from the zinc coating, I recommend the Fulton F2 Swing-Up, Wide-Track Trailer Jack, 8" Single Wheel, Sidewind, Bolt-On - 1,600 lbs # F1413040134. This will handle the tongue weight of your loaded trailer just fine and is made of aluminum alloy, so you won't have any corrosion issues. This one also comes with an integrated wheel stop which is really nice to have.
