Question:
2019 Grand Cherokee Roof Rails - I see the Yakima cross bars attach to the factory installed mounting points. In their instructions, they simply screw into the same place the factory bolts were. However, is there any chance of water leakage at these points? I dont see anything about taping the bolts prior to screwing in, so I suspect they are sealed. Just wanted to check - Thank you.

Assuming your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the black and chrome flush-mounted rails that run front to back, you are correct that the roof racks you mentioned do install into the same place the factory bolts are. I have added links to an installation video of the Yakima JetStream roof rack on a Jeep Grand Cherokee with flush mount rails so you can see exactly how the rack installs.
The Yakima JetStream (which is shown in the accompanying photo installed on a Jeep Grand Cherokee) consists of Crossbars # Y00425, SkyLine Towers # Y53TR, and Landing Pad # Y00244. You can also add locks to this roof rack with part # Y07204 to lock it to your 2019 Grand Cherokee.

I have a 2019 High Altitude GC and my flush mounted roof rails (front to back) are black and one piece. It appears the only choice is to remove the entire front to back rail in order to mount the LP18s? Am I missing something?
