Roof Rack Needed to Carry a Roof Top Tent with a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

It really depends on what roof top tent you are looking at. If you are looking into the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent # Y07436 then you will need to have raised rails and use the roof rack that consists of the Jetstream Bars # Y00426 , along with the TimberLine Towers # Y33TR. If you would like to add lock cores to your roof rack you can use part # Y07204.

I have attached a clip from the product page where you can see some of the stipulations about fit. The roof rack must be rated for 165 lbs (which the one mentioned above is) and the roof of your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek must be rated for 165 lbs as well.

If you don't have the side rails then the only other roof rack that will fit your Crosstrek isn't rated for 165 lbs so it won't be able to hold the tent. Let me know if there is a different tent you are looking at and I can see if we have compatible crossbars.
