How to Install Boat Trailer Roller Bunks on a EZ Loader Boat Trailer
Question:
I would like to install roller bunks on my Ez loader boat trailer but I am uncertain how to install. My trailer currently has 8 feet long bunks that are horizontally mounted. It is not clear to me how the bunks are attached to the existing bunks and how much that would raise the boat from its current height on the trailer. the rear and front cross members are 66 inches wide so I do not see how I could install brackets.

You can simply mount the Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk, part # DL21740, by just screwing or bolting it in. The mounting brackets, Boat Trailer Roller Bunk Bracket, part # DL21742, are optional in mounting part # DL21740, and are not required.
If you remove your old bunks and installed part # DL21740, the brackets would be needed to attach to the bottom of the bunk where the holes are and there would be no drilling required. This way the bunks would be adjustable to change the height.
If you installed part # DL21740, on top of the existing bunks the height of the boat on the trailer would change slightly by the thickness of the new bunk.
The mounting brackets are sold individually and four are needed to install a pair of roller bunks.
