Question:

I am interested in a 3 bike rack for our 2018 Nissan Leaf. I see that there are approved racks for the leaf. I just wondered how it works since the 2018 has both a roof and trunk spoiler. Thank you.

The lower spoiler on the 2018 Nissan Leaf is not an issue. Regarding the upper spoiler the Yakima FullBack # Y02633 can be installed with the top straps in anchor mode which means the hooks would not be pulling on the spoiler.

I have included a picture of a different Yakima rack on the Leaf but the fit will be basically the same. In this case the rack used does not have an anchor mode for the top straps. But you can see that because of the rack's position on the vehicle the top straps are not putting much stress at all on the spoiler.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
