Where is the element located?

The electrical heating element in the Atwood water heater model GE-9 EXT is located on the lower/left side of the unit as you look at it. You can find it most easily by tracing the two power wires that connect to the screw terminals on the element's base, such as with part # CAM02143.
It may be necessary to remove or loosen other components to gain access to the element.

The electric element on my Atwood water heater model GE-9 EXT is located on the backside inside the coach. Rather hard to get at for sure.
