Question:
I have a boat trailer with 8.00 x 16.5lt tires. What would be the proper size conversion? Ive researched this and have been told I could use 205 75 15 as a proper replacement. Is this correct?

The size you mentioned isn't one that still around and there aren't any tires we offer that would fit a 16.5 inch diameter trailer wheel. Best option is going to be to go with a new wheel and tire that fits your wheel bolt pattern.
I attached a link below that has all of the 205/75-15 wheel and tire options we have. Once you know your bolt pattern check out that link and use the filters to narrow down the results to bolt patterns that fit your trailer's hub.
I also attached a help article on determineing wheel bolt pattern for you to check out as well.
