How to Install the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors Part # WT83740 on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500
Published 08/18/2017 >
Question:
Is there an adhesive on these deflectors 83740. Tried using tool with metal clips provided, but broke pieces of the plastic deflector when trying to install. Got new set of deflectors and dont want a repeat of the same experience. Seems to be a clear plastic membrane on inside of deflectors , adhesive underneath?????

I spoke with my contact at WeatherTech and they informed me the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors with Dark Tinting part # WT83740 does not include double sided tape for installation purposes. Instead you will want to use the included metal clips. Make sure you are using the tool to pull back the factory weather stripping to install the metal clips.
If you are still having trouble installing these deflectors please let me know and I would be happy to offer additional advice.
