How Does CIPA Custom Towing Mirror # 10501 Install on a 2001 Dodge Dakota

I have 2001 dakota mirrors size on pickupare 101/2 x 61/4, purchase towing mirrors 10501 and10502 and I can not get them installed am I suspose to force them it seems if I get the top right then I would have to force the bottom. Thanks

Before you force anything you should make sure that you have the correct mirrors on your Dakota for these CIPA Custom Towing Mirror, part # 10501. Check out the picture to the right to see what the mirrors on your Dakota should look like for installing # 10501 or the # 10502.
Once you have determined that you have the correct mirrors on your Dakota you will slide the towing mirror over the end of the factory mirror so the top and the bottom will slide on simultaneously. These are a pretty snug fit so a little bit of force will be required. Check out the video below to see how the installation takes place you will notice that the mirrors take a little bit of force to get on.
