Question:
I own 2010 17foot LD Casita trailer, I was pulling with a Toyota Tundra 4.7L with no problem. I want to sell the truck and buy a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser V6 manual transmission, and I would like to know if everything will work for me. Your answer will be really appreciated.

Based on my research, it looks like the total weight of your 2010 LD Casita Trailer is between 2,200 and 2,500 pounds, depending on the specific model that you have. When looking at the online owner's manual for the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, it shows a maximum trailer weight of 5,000 pounds. WIth these numbers in mind, you will have no issue towing your trailer if you decide to go with the FJ Cruiser. I do recommend verifying the capacity with your dealer or with your copy of the owner's manual, as it's possible that it will be a different model.
If the FJ Cruiser does not already have a trailer hitch installed, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75461. This is a Class III hitch that will provide a 2 inch receiver opening and a 5,000 pound towing weight capacity. It is custom fit for your vehicle so no drilling will be required during installation. Just keep in mind that the hitch will not fit on vehicles with auxiliary tank. I have attached an installation video on the 2008 FJ Cruiser for you to check out.
Then to install a 4-way connector on the FJ Cruiser needed to power your trailer's rear signal lights, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118405. This will allow you to quickly install a 4-way trailer connector by plugging directly into existing wiring behind the trim panels in the cargo area on the driver and passenger side. I have attached the written installation details for you to look through.
