Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor
Question:
Does the Curt brand Part number 13552 listed as fitting a 2013 Ford Taurus fit a 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan? In the product description it says it DOES NOT fit, but in the QandA section an answer give by a Jamison C. says it DOES fit a 2015 Police Interceptor Sedan. Is there a difference between a 2013 and 2015, or is the product wrong, or Jamison C. wrong? I am asking because i have a 2013 PI Sedan, and want do be sure of fitment before purchase. Thanks for any and all info!!

For your 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" 13552 is not a fit. For a confirmed fit, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # 75670. This will give you a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver on your police interceptor. I have attached a video to help. There is not a Curt brand hitch confirmed to fit, but Draw-Tite will.
If you will be towing with this trailer hitch receiver, I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59496. This will give you a 4-way flat connection that will allow you to work with the unique wiring of a police interceptor and draws power directly from the vehicle battery to protect your electronics.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 7.5K - Black # BWTS10037B. This will give you adjustability to tow level as well as gives you two hitch ball options with a stowable feature to give you a clean look when not in use.
