Will a Westin Grille Guard for a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 Fit a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500

I bought a grille guard from a guy with a gmc. The part number 57-2275 matched up to the one I was going to but for my 2009 Chevy 1500. Tried putting it on and it didnt fit. Was it my mistake or does this guard not for my vehicle?

Westin grille guard # 57-2275 is a fit for the 2007 (new body) to 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. The same generation GMC Sierra takes # 57-2295 which is probably the one that you bought from the gentleman.
The grille guards are contoured to fit specific trucks and the mounting brackets may not be interchangeable between Chevy and GMC in this generation so it will not fit your truck.
