Question:
My 95 suburban has only 4 wires to wire up trailer brake plug, yellow, green, black, and white. The trailer plug has 7 places for wires. What wire goes where?

Expert Reply:
The likely functions of the wires on your 1995 Chevy Suburban are yellow for left turn and brake lights, green for right turn and brake lights, black (or brown) for running lights, and white for ground. But to be sure I highly recommend testing the wires using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993.
After you have verified the functions of the wires you can use the picture that I have included showing the functions and positions on a 7-Way vehicle side connector. Ignore the colors in the picture and focus on the functions.
