Towbar for Towing 1994 Geo Tracker 5-Speed Manual Behind 2002 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 Van

Question:

My tracker has been used as a tow vehicle. It has all of the necessary mounts and lighting installed. I have towed my 86 Suzuki samurai to and from Fl. to Asheville N.C. for many years. I would like to know which type of tow bar I should use? My sprinter is also fully wired and has trailer hitch installed. The existing mount on the tracker is 18 in between s. Thanks

The best choice of tow bar for transporting your 1994 Geo Tracker 5-Speed manual behind your 2002 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 van will be to select one made by the manufacturer of your Tracker's base plates. Using products from the same manufacturer means you'll not need to worry about having to use adapters which add expense and complication.

The link at right shows you all base plates we offer for your Tracker (as long as it does not have brush guards); we offer Roadmaster and Blue Ox products.

If you have Roadmaster base plates I suggest the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar # RM-020 which connects to any 2-inch hitch ball. If you prefer a tow bar that will slide into your Sprinter's hitch receiver then instead you can use their Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520.

If you have Blue Ox base plates then I suggest their Adventurer Tow Bar # BX7322.
