  • Will the Yakima KingJoe Pro Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE
  • The Yakima KingJoe Pro, # Y02624, is a fit for your 2013 Toyota RAV4. I have linked a video review of this rack and included a link to all of the trunk mount bike racks listed as a fit for your RAV4. If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # Y02531. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these...

  • Difference In Height Between Thule Crossroads And Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack Systems
  • I went to our warehouse and took some measurements of both the part # TH7502 and the # TH450. On the attached photos I have the measurements you were asking about pointed out in blue. As you can see in the photos, the difference in height between the Crossroads system you have now and the Aeroblade system is approximately 1.1 inches. I spoke with my contact at Thule and the Part # TH7502 is listed as the correct crossbar for both the front and rear. They will fit a maximum of 40 inches...

  • Will the Thule Sonic L fit on Factory Roof Rack of a 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE
  • Yes, the Thule Sonic L Cargo Box part # TH634B that you referenced will fit the factory crossbars of your 2013 Toyota RAV4. I attached a couple demo videos of this box being installed on very similar RAV4's as yours. I wish we knew what the maximum spread for your factory roof rack would be, but I was unable to find that information. This cargo box and most other quality cargo boxes do not open at highway speeds to allow in moisture or dirt. These are designed in such a way that they...

  • Comparing the Kuat NV Core, NV, and Softride Alumina Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Racks for 2013 RAV4
  • When we have installed Curt trailer hitch # C13149 on a 2013 Toyota RAV4 we found that from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper measured 3 inches. This means that the Kuat NV Core, # N104, will clear the rear of the vehicle. In fact it will be about 7-3/4 inches away from the bumper when in the down position and about 4-3/16 inches when folded up. The Core has the same design as the regular NV, # N101. The regular NV will actually be slightly closer to the...

  • The SuperSprings Coil SumoSprings, # CSS-1125R, have been confirmed to fit your 2013 Toyota RAV4. I pulled these springs from our warehouse to make a video for you to give you an idea of what they look like. These springs are 6-1/8 inches in diameter. They have an overall height of 2-1/2 inches. The thickness is 3/4 inch and the height of the inner portion of the spring is 1-1/4 inch.

  • Low Odor Cargo Mat Recommendation for a 2013 Toyota RAV4
  • I have talked to several people who work here at etrailer who have the WeatherTech floor mats in their vehicle and they all told me that there was no noticeable odor. WeatherTech makes some of the best mats around and I know you would be satisfied with the WeatherTech Cargo Mat # WT40610 in your 2013 Toyota RAV4. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.

  • Do Covercraft Floor Mats for the 2013 Toyota RAV4 Fit the Retention Hooks Like the Factory Mats
  • The Covercraft floor mats, # CC76318990, are designed to fit the same as factory mats. So if a vehicle has retention hooks to hold the mats in place, Covercraft makes their mats to accept these retention devices. These mats will fit as long as your 2013 Toyota RAV4 is not an EV model. If you do have an EV model you would need # CC76174690. Please note that the pictures of the mats are meant to show the color and not necessarily the actual design. So if the shapes look different, that is why.

  • Stabilization Strap Recommendation for Curt Trailer Hitches
  • You can use any type of towing or tie-down strap that you would like, but Curt offers the Curt Trailer Hitch Support Strap, # 18050, that you can use. The purpose of the strap is to help stabilize the load when it is mounted in the trailer hitch. Typically, the strap is wrapped around the bike rack and attached to the top edge of the rear hatch. You could also wrap the strap around a roof mounted crossbar if your RAV4 has a roof rack. The strap comes with coated hooks to prevent scratching....

  • You can indeed use the Thule AeroBlade Crossbars on your Rav 4. You would need the Thule Crossroad Foot Pack, part # TH450R and the 53 inch AeroBlade Crossbars, part # THARB53. I would also recommend the optional lock cylinders, part # TH544.

  • Will 2013 Toyota RAV4 Antenna Interfere with the Thule Force XL Cargo Box
  • Whether or not the antenna on the 2013 Toyota RAV4 will interfere with a cargo box or not depends on several factors. First, if the antenna does not stick up higher than the top of the crossbars then it will not interfere. If the box is not long enough to reach the antenna it will not interfere. If the antenna is flexible then it also should not be an issue. Based on the length of the Force XL cargo box, # TH625, at 84 inches and its ability to be more forward or backward on the crossbars...

  • What is the purpose of the Tow Hook on a 2013 Toyota RAV4
  • The tie down bracket that gets removed from your 2013 Toyota RAV4 is there because that is one place they secure the vehicle while it is in transit on a car hauler from the factory to the dealer. It does not really serve any other purpose and if a tie down point was needed the hitch could be used instead. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of this hitch as well as a link to the instructions both to the right. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend...

  • Mounting Holes on Trailer Hitch Do Not Line Up with Holes on Frame of 2013 Toyota RAV4
  • You do not want to modify the hitch or vehicle to get the hitch to fit. Doing so can do more harm than good. There are a couple of things you can try. First, try starting the installation with the bolt hole that is giving you trouble. It could be that the hitch and/or vehicle will better allow the installation if you changed the order of what bolts are installed when. Also, leave the bolts loose enough so that you can move the hitch a little. This little bit of play may be all you need...

  • Locking Hitch Pin Recommendation for Class III 2 Inch Trailer Hitches
  • I like the Deadbolt lock # 7683. This is the most popular hitch lock for 2 inch trailer hitches like # C13149. The flush design means that the ends are right up against the hitch pin hole on the receiver making it nearly impossible to get a tool in there to even try to cut the lock off. I have included a link to a video review of this lock for you along with a link to all the locking hitch pins we carry for 2 inch hitches.

  • Will the Curt Roof Mount Cargo Basket Fit a 2013 Toyota RAV4 with Factory Roof Rack
  • You will not need to add an aftermarket roof rack to your 2013 Toyota RAV4 since it already has a factory roof rack with crossbars. You will need to measure the crossbars though to determine if the Curt cargo basket # C18115 will fit. Measure how thick or wide the bars are. If they are under 3 inches wide then the mounting hardware for the basket will fit. Next measure the bar spread by measuring from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar. That distance will need...

  • Using Curt # C13149 Class III Hitch Installed on 2013 Toyota Rav 4 as Lifting Point
  • I spoke with my Curt representative, who tells me that using the hitch as a lifting point is not recommended, as the hitch is not intended or designed for this purpose. According to the owners manual for the 2013 Rav4, the only recommended jacking points are the the notched areas in the pinch weld behind the rocker panel just behind the front wheel and just ahead of the rear wheel. The plate or gusset you describe is actually welded to the top of the hitch, and is meant to strengthen...

  • Compatibility of Thule Hull-A-Port Pro # TH835PRO on 2013 Toyota RAV4 with Factory Roof Rack
  • According to Thule, their Hull-A-Port Pro # TH835PRO is compatible with the factory roof rack on your 2013 Toyota RAV4. For two kayaks, you would need two carriers. If your kayaks are less than 10 feet long, you could use the Thule Stacker, part # TH830 which can carry two kayaks with no problem. The Stacker is also compatible with your factory rack. Both the Hull-A-Port Pro and the Stacker include straps and bow/stern tie-downs, but I would highly recommend the Thule Quick Loops,...

  • Bike Adapter Bar Recommendation for Carrying Girls Bikes with Better Ground Clearance
  • Typically any bike rack style would work with a womans bike, if you use a hanging style rack it will still work as long as you use an adapter bar like the Swagman Easy-Out Adapter # 64005. This adapter will span from the steering stem to the seat post to provide a horizontal attachment point for the bike rack to attach to. This would have helped with the ground clearance issues you experienced. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also. With an adapter like...
