Can Curt Spyder Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails Be Used With 5th Wheel Rail Adapter
Question:
I recently purchased the RP 30154 for my 2014 Ram with oem package, I love it. If I purchase the part 16085 for gooseneck trailer towing I wont have to completely remove the RP 30154 from the bed like I would if I purchased the oem gooseneck kit RP 30140. My question is, are there safety chain attachment points with part# 16085?

The Curt Spyder Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails, part # 16085 does have safety chain holders, but it is really not advisable to use an adapter with an adapter. The only alternative I can recommend is to remove the # RP30154 from the bed of the truck when you want to use the gooseneck hitch.
You could then use the gooseneck kit like part # RP30140.
I have attached a photo that shows where they are located on the # 16085. I have also attached a product review video for this hitch you can check out. The safety chain holders are spring loaded. This comes with the pins and clips for attaching the hitch to base rails.
