The best option for on and off-road tire and mud service chains that will fit the 235/70-16 tires on your 2012 Ford Escape is Titan Chain # TC2435 twisted links chains in a ladder pattern. We would additionally recommend the # PW107 rubber adjusters which help keep the chains centered and tight.
Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for additional information on the use of tire chains. I have also included a link to our informational article on tire chains for you.
