  • 2006 Acura MDX Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation
The owners manual for your 2006 Acura MDX will be the final authority on the towing capacity, but my research indicates that it would have 3,500 lbs of capacity. For a trailer hitch we have the Curt part # 13328 which is a fit and would work well. A local garage or trailer rental place would have no problem with this either. For trailer wiring you'd then want the Tekonsha kit part # 118336 which is a confirmed fit and our most reliable wiring harness brand. Since you wanted to do some...

  • Cleaning or Tapping the Weld Nuts on a 2006 Honda Pilot to Install Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13328
The weld nuts on your 2006 Honda Pilot could just be so compacted with grime that they appear to be thread-less. I recommend giving them another good cleaning using the lubricant like you did before, and a stiff bristle wire brush like # DW00254. You may have to do this several times. I have linked a video of this process below. If you still cannot thread the bolts in, even after a thorough cleaning, you may have to tap the holes to re-thread them and clean them out. I would use this...

  • How Much Does the Curt Hitch 13328 Weigh and How Large is the Shipping Box?
The Curt Hitch item # 13328 weighs 36 lbs. When packaged the box weighs 38 lbs and measures 18" x 60" x 11". This is one of the widest custom fit hitches we have. Curt does not give out schematics of their hitches.

  • Center Mounting Flange on Curt Trailer Hitch 13328 Not Lining Up with Holes in 2007 Honda Pilot EX
There are a couple of possible reasons why the center mounting flange on Curt trailer hitch # 13328 is not lining up with the holes in your 2007 Honda Pilot. First, sometimes in the shipping process a hitch can flex. As long as there are no indications of stress the flange can be flexed into the correct position. The other possibility is the order in which the hardware was tightened down. If you were to change the order of how the hardware was torqued down, say starting with the center...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2005 Honda Pilot
Both Curt class III trailer hitch, part # 13328 and the Draw-Tite Hitch class III trailer hitch, part # 75599, are quality hitches. But the most popular hitch for your vehicle is the Curt hitch, part # 13328. Installation is relatively easy, even for a beginner. The Curt receiver simply bolts on to the inside of each frame rail. Both hitches require about 40 minutes of installation time. The Curt hitch does use two extra screws to attach the center bumper bracket above the receiver behind...

The only hardware required are bolts and washers which are supplied with your Curt Hitch # 13328. If you need replacement hardware you can order our kit # RHK. I have added a link below for that item. Be sure to fill in your hitch brand and model number. Some customers find the the bolts thread smoother if they use a 1/2" Tube Brush # 814092 first. I have included a link to the hitch and brush.

  • Difference Between the Curt and Etrailer Hitches for a 2004 Honda Pilot
The Curt hitch for the 2004 Honda Pilot, part # 13328, and the etrailer one, part # e98851, are almost the same. As you mentioned, the finish is the only difference between them. The matte finish of the etrailer one helps to prevent scratches and corrosion, which is why it's the one I recommend. I've linked to a video installation of the Curt since they install the same and we have the video for your 2004 Pilot.

  • Trailer Hitch for 2011 Acura MDX that Allows Full Sized Spare to be Kept
For a Curt hitch confirmed to fit your 2011 Acura MDX that allows you to keep the full size spare tire you would want the part # 13354. The spare would need to get removed during the install process but can be reinstalled once the hitch is fully installed. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Trailer Hitch Compatibility for Honda Pilot and Acura MDX
Aftermarket trailer hitch fits for the 2005 Acura MDX and the 2005 Honda Pilot are indeed the same. Either vehicle can be fitted with three different Class III hitches, part # 75599 from Draw-Tite, part # 13328 from Curt and part 87454 from Hidden Hitch. No drilling is required for installing any hitch on either vehicle. Since we do not sell the OEM hitch that was installed on the MDX I cannot guarantee that it will fit the Pilot but odds are pretty good that it will. Some vehicles' OEM...

  • Distance From Top Of Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Opening To Ground On 2005 Honda Pilot
I have attached a link to our installation video for this trailer hitch on a 2006 Honda Pilot you can check out. As you can see in the video at about the 15 second mark the distance form the top of the # 13328 hitch receiver opening to the ground is 18 inches. This may vary based on the tires and wheels you have on your vehicle but this does give you a pretty good idea what that distance is. • Does Trailer Hitch for 2008 Honda Pilot Come with Everything
For just a hitch for your 2008 Honda Pilot all you would need is the Curt # 13328 which comes with everything you'd need to install. You might be asking if this comes with trailer wiring, which it does not, so if you needed that as well you'd want the Tekonsha kit part # 118336 which is very reliable and easy to install.

  • Will a Trailer Hitch Fit a 2008 Honda Pilot with a Full Sized Spare Tire
The full-size spare tire should not be a problem for Curt hitch # 13328 and the 2008 Honda Pilot. Customers have reported having plenty of space around the hitch for a spare larger than the donut and we haven't had complaints about the hitch not fitting. In some cases you may need to angle a full sized spare tire when raising or lowering it so that it clears the hitch but that is about it. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball...

  • Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer with a 2007 Honda Pilot
On your 2007 Honda Pilot the parts you mentioned can all be used for towing a trailer. The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13328 is confirmed to fit and will work great for you. The wiring harness # C55336 is the correct part for your Pilot. However, it isn't designed to be mounted under the bumper of the vehicle. It's generally stored inside the rear compartment and then ran out of the closed rear hatch when in use. The thick rubber seal along the hatch doesn't damage the...

  • Is Trailer Wiring Harness Included with Curt Hitch Part # 13328
Wiring harnesses are not included with Curt hitches. Hitches include the hardware needed to mount the hitch to the vehicle. Some Hidden Hitch models will included a draw bar and pin and clip. There are a handful of Valley hitches that have integrated wiring. For your 2005 Honda Pilot, you would use either part # 118336 or part # 33105 for a trailer wiring harness.

I would be happy to help you clear up the confusion and make all recommendations you will need to safely tow a trailer with your 2005 Honda Pilot. I looked online at your Pilot's owner's manual. It says that if your vehicle is equipped with a transmission cooler and power steering fluid cooler it has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs for a standard trailer. • Exhaust Rattling Against Trailer Hitch on a Honda Pilot
Exhaust rattling against a trailer hitch is a common occurrence but it is easily fixed. Exhaust pipes and mufflers hang on rubber isolators. • How to Tow Multiple Trailers with a 2003 Acura MDX
We have you covered here. The Curt Class III, part # 13328, is definitely a good choice for your 2003 Acura MDX. There are some things that need to be taken into account, though. Though the Curt hitch has the highest towing capacity for your vehicle, the only way it can handle 4500 lbs is to be combined with a weight distribution (WD) system. With a WD system, it can tow up to 5000 pounds. Without one, it can only get up to 3500 lbs. For your WD system, I recommend the Blue Ox TrackPro...

However, the available wiring harnesses for your vehicle are very easy to install. If you ever plan on towing a trailer, you will need a wiring harness.
