It is listed on this product page as a related product.

The lock washer is made to go on there, and also the other piece that we sell separately, it's made to go with is the mounting nut for the brake assembly for 7 and 10 inch brake assemblies. It's part number 6-17 and that's made to screw on to the . and all 3 of those pieces again are sold separately. That should do it for part number 5-8. I purchased electric brake parts for a tow dolly. The staff at etrailer guided me thru the selection process and offered a perfect solution. It is nice to have a company like etrailer and their staff of true professionals. Everything had been absolutely perfect one year after install and expect many more years of service from these components. Thanks etrailer.

by:

Hydraulic trailer drum brakes. Received within a few days. Easy to install, not that complicated. Needed a second person to help bleed the brakes.

by:

The 5-8 lock washers for the four bolt brake mounting flange are an excellent replacement on my 1997 Coleman Fleetwood Bayports popup camper that I am close to finishing a restoration process on. They fit perfectly! Very happy to purchase an excellent product from the fastest shipper I have ever come across. I am blown away by the professionalism with this company!
Thanks

Its holding well

by:

Very courteous and professional. Timing of shipment is awesome. If delays in shipping, the company maintains updates to the company.
Very professional staff. We are very pleased with this company.

by:

I bought for these brake assemblies. Installation was straight forward and after a year of use and about 3500 miles, they spray to be performing well. My only concern is one of the four occasionally sticks which heats up that wheel. Backing up a short distance seems to release it, but I'd like to feel more confident that it's working correctly.

by:

What can I say, it is a lock washer. Bought it to go with the replacement brake/backing plate I purchased.

by:

merchandise was delivered much sooner than i expected. everything was in perfect condition. haven't installed the brakes yet, but i do not expect any problems. i am sure that i will be using and recommending etrailer.com to friends.

by:

I was very happy with the products that I purchase and pleased with Erika in customer servies. I will defentitly use etrailer agian for future purchases.

by:

This is my second order from etrailer, and just as before the product was just as advertised, perfect fit and a great price, and delivered right on time, also videos were a great help. I highly recommend etrailer.

by:

Had to order these separately...the brake kit should come with these.

by:

It's a lock washer. What more can be said?

  • Correct Mounting Bracket Bolts for Kodiak Disc Brake Kit
You are correct, the bolts for the mounting bracket are not included with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet and KodaGuard - 3,500 lbs # K2R35DKG. What you need is the Brake Mounting Bolt for 7" and 10" Brake Assemblies # 7-75. Along with the bolts you will also want the Mounting Nut for 7" and 10" Brake Assemblies - 7/16" Diameter - Zinc Plated # 6-17 and the Lock Washer for Brake Mounting Bolt for 7" and 10" Brake Assemblies - 7/16" Diameter # 5-8.

If you have a self-adjusting brake assembly, you'll be able to see the adjuster cable extending across the brake assembly once you remove the hub/drum. However, we sell the Dexter brake kit # K23-463-00, so we can confirm the brakes are not self-adjusting. If you would like to install self-adjusting brakes, you'll have to adjust them once during the initial install, but after that, they will self-adjust. I've included a video demonstrating how to install and adjust a brake assembly (adjustment...

You will need to make sure your existing bearings and seal match the bearings and seal in the hub and drum you selected, # 8-257-5UC3-EZ, and that the wheel bolt pattern, 5 on 4-1/2 inches, matches also. • How to Determine if 2,000 lb Electric Trailer Brakes Will Fit
I can help you out here, and there are a couple of things you'll need to know to determine the fit of 2,000 lb electric trailer brakes. First, you'll need to make sure you have the correct brake mounting flange on your axle, one that has hole spacing 2-7/8" on center. If you don't, you can have one welded on with part # 4-34. The other thing you need to have is a hub with a 7" inner diameter for the brakes to fit in. I made a diagram for you below which may help, and that's all you need...

The brake mounting flanges, whether they be 4 or 5 bolt, have a standard hole spacing to fit their appropriate brake assembly. No worries about the brake assembly matching with the existing one on your axle. A 3500 lb axle like what you have will use a 4 bolt flange. You will need to get the numbers that are stamped on your existing bearings, in order to confirm the fit of the # 84557UC3. Your current bearings will need to match the bearings of the replacement hub. The # 84557UC3 uses...

  • Adding Electric Drum Brakes to a Scamp Camper Trailer
Setting up a trailer with electric drum brakes is going to be the easier and most cost effective way of adding brakes to your Scamp trailer. Since the trailer already has the mounting flanges that will limit the amount of parts and work that will need to be done. Starting with the hub and drum assemblies since your bearings are both L44649 and you have an EZ Lube style axle you would need # 8-257-5UC3-EZ with the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. • Parts Needed to Add Electric Brakes to a Utility Trailer with a 3500 Lbs Axle and Brake Flanges
You will need several items to add electric brakes to your Carry-On Utility trailer.
