This Generation III Classic Personal snowplow is the most recent innovation from SnowBear. This plow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch (sold separately) for easy, convenient mounting. It has a remote-controlled electric winch that will let you raise and lower the plow without leaving the warmth and comfort of your cab. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain. Angled trip springs are also built in to help keep the blade from catching and tripping.
Simple, Hitch-Mounted Installation
This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. Unlike a plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets, which ties you down to just 1 vehicle, this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.
To install the Personal snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver . Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.
How to Plow
Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, or 22 degrees to the left or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.
To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote or the in-cab toggle switch, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the Personal snowplow.
When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.
Easy Lifting with Electric Winch
The electric winch on this plow allows you to easily lift and lower the blade using a toggle switch that mounts in your cab. You can also use the included wireless remote control. The winch uses a durable nylon strap, which is much quieter than a chain, to raise and lower the plow.

There was some scratches on the hitch when I received it, I think you need to rethink you packaging, putting metal on metal and wrapping it Saran wrap just doesn't keep it from rubbing, I will have to touch it up. Thanks for the fast shipping.
My front hitch for my 2008 Tacoma got to me within 3 days very fast service. I installed it in 30 minutes and was able to put the front skid plate back on without doing any other changes to it. Very good product. I will be using it to put my rod rack on front of truck to use it at the outer banks of North Carolina for surf fishing this coming fall. Thanks for a very good hitch.

I need to thank the team @ eTrailer. The original front hitch for my Tacoma that I ordered was out of stock for a few months (Covid), and I needed the hitch for a trip in a week and a half. The eTrailer team had a different manufacturers brand at my door step in 2 days. I assembled the parts in my living room to make sure I had all the hardware, and exactly where all the bolts/washers will go. I cant wait to install it tomorrow. eTrailer had the best price I could find and delivered me the part in a very tight timeframe. eTrailer for the win!!!

Perfect. I attach a cooler and rod rack to the front of my vehicle for fishing. The rack is constantly loaded to and from the trailer hitch. After a year of abuse, its still not rusting I was pleasantly surprised. The trailer hitch on the back of the vehicle that came on the vehicle from the factory had rust by now on it. I would recommend.
Installed the Curt front hitch on a 2006 Tacoma. Install time was approximately 45 minutes by myself - very straight forward installation; instructions were very clear. I did not have to remove the skid plate. I was concerned that the hitch would be low, but it sits higher than the lowest point of the skid plate.
Primary use will be to mount a bike rack when pulling a travel trailer. Does the job perfectly!
Customer service was above and beyond. I ordered this on Wednesday afternoon and it arrived Friday afternoon! Box arrived in good shape, hitch and all hardware were in perfect condition.

Better than a snowblower!! Made very well, had it put together and mounted in a couple hours. Used it for two small snowfalls and it worked as expected. Great customer service from etrailer!

I bought a Snow bear personal plow and a separate Curt receiver hitch for the front of my 2012 F250.. after speaking with Erica W. several times due to blunders on my part, all was perfect. Quick delivery, price was right, items are super rugged. The stock photos don't do justice. My plow came in at 350 pounds without the receiver hitch. It's not a cheap toy plow. Added this hitch a yr ago - orginal intent was to install a bike hitch rack on front ( works great as long as it is day time! Bikes distort headlights do much so not as good as I was hoping. Second note it did save my front end in September when a deer decide it want to play chicken and jumped out in front of me- ended up cracking my bumper but pretty sure (don't ask) that the hitch prevented it from destroying my entire front grill- so certainly paid for it self then. Lastily it is really convenient for moving my trailer around when parking it- its short and kept in a really tight spot so being able to just push it in instead of backing it in makes it so much easier.
Fit, works, reasonably priced.
Works great to make a tricky turn pushing my boat into the garage. Much better visibility and maneuvering than trying to back up.
it's worked fine so far. Have used it to move my trailer and when not doing that I have my winch mounted on it which is the main reason I got it. super strong and looks good.

The front hitch makes it easy to push my off-highway teardrop trailer through a gate at an angle and into a storage shed. The hitch came with complete instructions for my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. I was able to install with no assistance. I used a floor jack to position the hitch, and the process took me 45 minutes .
Works exactly as stated and provides a nice 2” receiver style hitch on the front end of the truck! I would have preferred a more discreet under mount but knew prior to install that it would be as pictured. I use mine with a hitch-mounted winch so that I can pull from both front and rear, depending on situation! No complaints and I would buy again!
I am not an automotive person. I was very leery about attempting this project. I called etrailer to confirm that I had selected the correct hitch receiver. Customer service was very helpful and I placed my order over the phone. I was told that there might be a delay in shipping due to back order. I received update emails and the product arrive earlier than promised. Installation instructions are clear, an online video is available. Installed hitch receiver on my 2009 Toyota Tacoma by myself. No exotic tools required. I would not hesitate to purchase from etrailer again. Oh, great price too!
i had looking for a front mount trailer hitch for my 2009 toyota tacoma came across the web page ordered the unit with no problems it showed up a few days later due to the weight of the hitch it was delivered by ups with the box completly busted open but no damage so who cares. i installed it today very nice install very straight forward i am planning to customize the skid plate along with my front light bar to fit on the hitch took about an hour to install. the unit is overbuilt for what i need it for. more than enough to hold my front mounted cooler and rod holders for surf fishing photos to follow> will buy from this company again,and again, thanks again andrew r milton mass
Great hitch, solid construction, fits perfectly, great value. This is actually the third Curt front mount hitch that I have bought and installed on my Toyota pickups over the years.
All Hardware was present. Electric Harness installation went well after I had difficulty separating stock plug for harness plug in. Removed Bumper for more room to view. I suggest a helper to position assembly up in place. I was going to use a floor hydraulic jack to get er done. A friend just came by. Had to purchase a 19mm box/open end wrench to tighten 2 bolts. Deep sockets will not get in there.
Now for the front hitch.

Great front hitch. Took about 35 minutes to install on 2012 Toyota Tacoma with just a few wrenches. The hardest part was getting the plastic hole plugs out of the holes to use to mount the hitch to the frame.
Easy to install. Even able to put by bull bar back on. Strong and sturdy. The striper are going to dread seeing me pull up.

Still like brand new
I had self inflicted doubts about this product but Ashley was professional and timely in setting me up with a technician wor was able to direct me for proper installation.
Looks well made. Received promptly from eTrailer as promised. Haven't been able to mount it yet as the hardware package from Curt was incorrect. Still waiting for a replacement bolt.
For my 2012 Double Cab Tacoma.
Arrived to my home as predicted. Easy to install, removed the skid plate but able to re-install it afterwards. Looking forward to using it.

No modification needed or required to fit on my 2012 Tacoma DCSB off road package
This was the second CURT product I purchased, and was (is) equally impressed. ALL washers, nuts, bolts, etc were included as promised. Fit was also as promised; no drilling, bending, forcing or other muscle power required. Kind of hard to believe; didn't even skin a knuckle. Thanks. Bill

Awe, I am sorry that it arrived in that condition. I would recommend using a rust-oleum type of paint to prevent any corrosion.
